Just how important is the design of the product display in your trade show exhibit? Very. According to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), 92% of trade show attendees come to see and learn about new products and services, and 77% of them find at least one new supplier at a trade show. That's a pretty compelling argument for making sure your product displays draw attention and engage attendees. Here are three quick ways to leave static, predictable product displays behind and generate extra interest in your wares:

1.  Please touch me. Enticing attendees to handle your products increases engagement and helps them remember their visit and your brand. Make the experience even more memorable by creating a unique interaction that differentiates you and your exhibit from your competitors. Example: The rotating shadow boxes that Soci used to display its tile products at the International Builders Show were a fun alternative to the static product displays in competitors' booths.

2.  Surprise! Showcasing product in an unexpected way will stop attendees in their tracks. Soci's vertical display of how sinks work with its tiles told a succinct, intuitive story that drew attention and was easier for customers to take in at a glance than a horizontal display would have been. Plus, this approach occupied less space than a horizontal display and made good use of a wall that ran along the aisle.

3.  Springboard Ideation. A large component in successful sales is to empower your customers to envision how your product is going to look in their application. Soci accomplished this by providing product samples and a worktable where customers were invited to mix and match and imagine how they'd use Soci tiles in their own projects. And, since research  shows that we remember things better when we "learn by doing" than when we "learn by viewing," Soci's physically engagement strategy provided the added benefit of increased product recall.
